Sponsor A Child Sponsoring a child with the Hilde Back Education Fund, gives one the unique opportunity to nurture a needy child's education dreams into reality. Thousands of gifted children in Kenya with a promising future are forced by financial difficulties to discontinue their studies.

Our sponsor-to-child programme links you directly with a child making it possible to communicate through exchange of letters, as well as receive regular updates on the child's academic performance. Both sponsors and the sponsored children get to jointly experience the journey of lives being transformed over time.

Over ten years ago, when the Hilde Back Education Fund was founded, our mission was to assist disadvantaged children who are bright but poor to access education opportunities which would otherwise be out of their reach, enabling them realize their full academic and professional potential. We continue to be committed to the promotion of education as a fundamental human right and today have 200 beneficiaries under our wing, and have expanded our geographical scope to include parts of Central, Eastern, Nyanza and Rift Valley Provinces of Kenya.

Sponsoring a child's education costs $650 per year or $55 a month. Secondary school education in Kenya takes four years - from Form One to Form Four, and an academic year begins in January and ends in December.
